World of Warcraft: History of Witch Doctor Zum'rah

Witch Doctor Zum'rah is a level 49 elite sand troll found in Zul'Farrak. Zum'rah is friendly at first, but when you move near to him he will turn hostile.

Adventure Guide

The powerful loa Bwonsamdi watches over the spirits of the Darkspear trolls, but many of the Sandfury tribe's fallen members are offered no such protection after death. These tortured spirits obey Zum'rah, a cruel witch doctor who uses his dark magic to force the city's dead into unending service.

Abilities

Awaken Zul'farrak Zombie — Witch Doctor Zum'rah raises a Zul'farrak Zombie from a nearby grave.

Zul'Farrak Zombie — Zul'farrak Zombies are risen from the grave to fight for Witch Doctor Zum'rah.

Ward of Zum'rah — Witch Doctor Zum'rah summons a Ward of Zum'rah at his feet for 20 sec. The Ward of Zum'rah summons a Skeleton of Zum'rah every 5 seconds.

Skeleton of Zum'rah — Skeletons of Zum'rah fight for Witch Doctor Zum'rah.

Healing Wave Interruptible — Witch Doctor Zum'rah heals an ally.

Shadow Bolt Interruptible — Witch Doctor Zum'rah hurls a bolt of dark magic at a player, inflicting Shadow damage.

Bolt Volley Interruptible — Witch Doctor Zum'rah hurls missiles of dark magic, inflicting Shadow damage to all players within 0 yards.

Strategy

The key to victory is to kill him fast as he will spawn more and more adds during the fight.

It is possible to aggro the graves accidentally so you should not stand near them after engaging Zum'rah. It is also possible that you can prevent the adds from spawning by stunlocking him. It is also recommended that you take out the totem that he drops.

A lot of groups practice opening the graves near him on purpose. If you open the first 5 or 6 graves, not many Zul'Farrak Zombies will spawn, 1 or 2 max. However, if the group doesn't have time to do this, keep in mind that the zombies are fearable and encourage priests/warlocks/paladins to use it.
